Unfortunately it probably should have been discussed in the very beginning of the relationship, because its who you are. Nothing wrong with that. Now that it has come up...I don't know...You cannot change nor would want too.....boyfriend either accepts or does not...His choice......hard for you I know..you have to be yourself though.
