I also get lost in books, literally. When I read, I shut myself off completely and the book I'm reading becomes more real than me. A great, safe way for me to really 'get away' from things I'm feeling or trying to deal with.
Music can help...but its also a constant--it plays the whole time I am awake...so not as strong as other things usually.
I used to do beading and quillwork...but those have been eliminated by RA, for me.
I also come here, especially to chat. Even if I don't talk much, I don't feel so alone--I have company at the least.
