It's hard being a protective mother to one who is a Marine. Sadly in many ways, the things that bother us they are trained to just deal with. Yes, that doesn't stop PTSD from happening in worse cases, but the things that they are trained to deal with & accept are beyond what we can even imagine.

Glad your son is safe & is being part of the important work that needs to be done there in all the devastation. Thank heavens for our advanced technology where we can communicate through things like FB.

Interesting how the power is still up through all the devastation. I know when we had our ice storm a couple of years ago & the power was out for several weeks....all communication was cut off....no internet as there was no power to run the towers, no power to run the computer. I used my generator just enough to cook some food & have some light. I am sure that around the epicenter of the earthquake area, that communications are of vital importance to get back up & running.

Good to be proud of your son & the important part he is providing in the serious work that needs to be done there.

Giving you gentle 's, knowing how worried you are for your son's safety
