I'd definitely talk about it, but at the same time distracting yourself when you are thinking about it is a good idea.

One of my therapists gave me a good idea once. Try setting aside maybe 15-30 minutes a day where all you did was worry...or in your case, obsess...about what was on your mind. Then at the end of that time you would make yourself stop by doing any number of distractions.
