My T usually just walks in to the waiting area and smiles at me. I think she tends to take her cue from me as to whether or not we talk on the way back to her office. If I am really quiet, she usually just walks me back in silence. If I initiate small talk, she'll engage in small talk.

My T knows that I get really anxious if there's a lot of people in the waiting area. Today, the waiting area was very quiet and empty, and she asked me how the wait was.

I'd love for her to come out and say "Hi Rhi! I'm so glad to see you. Come on back!"
