Here is my dilemma, some of which I posted elsewhere, I am on Lexapro but I for my Obsesiive Compulsive Disorder but I still have panic attacks a few times a week. I have been told that there are more effective medications specifically to treat OCD symptoms however my husband and I are trying to conceive a child and I am told these better OCD meds aren't as safe as Lexapro. A psychiatrist recommended the following for OCD : Luvox or Anafranil but he said it wasn't safe in pregnancy. So he told me to try Prozac to which I said no to because I had very bad side effects on Prozac. So I am faced with the dilemma of finding an effective OCD med to target my OCD and alleviate my obsessions and panic attacks and at the same time ensuring it is safe for a child. Being off medication is not an option for me since I tried it and almost had a nervous breakdown for a 2 time. By the way I am on Klonopin 1mg daily which I take as a PRN. Also, I should say I have been on Zoloft and Celexa which like Lexapro helps but not as much as it probably should since I am able to have roughly 5 or more panic attacks weekly. I would greatly appreciate any advice!! You guys are all so wonderful. Thank god for this web site!!!!
