I have heard from some friends 20 miles north of Tokyo on the coast. Survived the tsunami but no power, no gas for their generator, and no food in the stores. Radiation level has risen in their area and to be safe, they are heading south to family in Hiroshima, way south. Trains are running in the south as are the buses. I am relieved they are ok but still very concerned. He has picked up a satellite phone to be able to keep in touch from now on.

Have not heard from several friends on the coast and also who were further north. Very worried.

Has anyone else heard from their friends?
