My T was usually silent I think, didn't "greet" me or anything. Sometimes I guess she would say "You can come in now" or, "We can start now" as she beckoned me to go down the hall to the office. She would follow and close the door and we'd both sit and it would be up to me to start the session proper. It didn't feel cold or anything and was clear from her looking at me, expression, smile, and body movements what was going on.
