The hallway to her office is connected directly with the waiting room. So she usually comes through the door, smiles, and says, "Hi Mike, how's it going?"

I usually say I'm okay, or fine, because it's a bit awkward saying, "Oh my god, I feel horrible!!!" in front of all those other patients.
