(Not sure this is the correct forum but didn't know where else to put it, sorry.)
So, today I am officially unemployed. I've had a great time at my old job but with all the sleep-ins and long hours I'm pretty run down. Lost my voice a month ago and it still hasn't come back! Doctor wanted to sign me off work but there was no way in H I could do that without getting stabbed in the back for it, so I've been soldiering on.
Start my new job on Monday and it is such a big step for me. Care Manager of my own large residential home, 36 beds and 26 staff and I'll be in charge!

How I got the job I'll never know, it was a 2 and a half hour interview that included me doing a presentation! Apparently they could see that I am a 'people' Manager and keep telling me how wonderful I am. I hope I can live up to their expectations. Everything about the job sounds fantabulous! It's mainly 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. No sleep-ins. No double shifts and they even told me I can pop out anytime to go and see my dog! It all sounds too good to be true and too good for me! Being cynical, but there really must be a catch. I guess I'll find out soon.
So friends, please wish me luck and let me be the person they want me to be. I'll do my best of course.
