darla every community has an AA hotline. google it for your area or use phone book. if you call and ask for a ride a woman will pick you up to take you to a meeting. this hopefully will occur for you. it's our way of carrying the message.
i forget your age, sorry, but your parents balk AA cause they know they need to fix themselves too but choose not to. it's frightening to a drunk to have a loved one get sober. it's too close to home if you get my meaning. my ex-hubby- a drunk-said to me-weak ppl like you go to AA. he'd wrapped his car while drunk around a tree 3 weeks before!!
i do hope you will try this measure-calling AA, it may save your life and what a beautiful life it could be. i hope you keep reaching out to us. we're not there tho so you gotta do some footwork.
