I was on lithium for a year. I didn't shake but I had other side effects that I didn't like including having to start thyroid medication. My doctor put me on Lemictal instead. My doctors have always had a very hard time finding medications that work for me. I would never give up the Lemictal. I have never been happier on a medication and there really aren't any side effects. RTB
