Had the telephone interview this afternoon. It was 40 min. & was pretty intense. I really haven't a clue as to how it went, I can never tell with phone interviews, but I don't think I said anything too dumb. The only really awkward point was when she asked what my salary requirements were. I have no idea what their pay scales are like, but I sucked up all my insecurities and said I wanted 120 base + incentive + car allowance. I have no idea at all if I'll make it to the in person interview stage. They're doing in person interviews late next week or early the following week. I'm trying to not have any expectations. Plus I'm not really sure that I'd want the job. It's very high travel, and i'd probably have to relocate eventually to another city. When she asked about relocation, I said I'd be willing to relocate but that i'd want 6 months to a year on the job to make sure it was a good fit and that we were both happy before I moved. Packing up and moving away from everything would be a huge deal, but I'll never be able to afford a house in my current city and there I could get a nice house on decent property. Plus it's a large enough city that I'd still be able to get good psych care. It all just feels very weird.
