hmmm.

i have given up trying to stop biting my nails. decided to go for acceptance :-)

but if it is change you are after...

acrylics or gels.

i got some acrylic nails.
it takes a while (though i am a perfectionist)
you get a pack and there are a whole range of sizes and you find the ones that match your nails and you glue them on (really not very hard). then you cut them and file them and paint them and just try biting them LOL!

If you maintain those...

Your nails will grow and be protected from your biting them.

Also... You get to have nice nails for a while and you really do start to get attached to them and it motivates your growing them.

And once they have grown a bit and are looking all nice then it is easier to leave them alone.

What I found...
My laptop has really shallow keys.
With long nails the nails would get caught under the keys and it was much harder to type in general so... They had to go.

But I could have worn them shorter...

I guess... I just don't mind it that much. It is OTHER people who seem to have the problem with my doing that...
