WOW I think this is wonderful that they are actively working on this! Yes, something that would interrupt the brain chemicals from failing to file the event.. or in any way counter those chemicals... that would be great for disaster or war relief... tough missions..become a part of the debriefing process.. kewl.

And that it might lead to a cure for PTSD? Very interesting.I doubt that this drug alone would do that, as many ppl who have been traumatized take it as a beta blocker, and they're still suffering ptsd... to think this miserable disorder might be curbed/cured in the future...hmmmm

of course, I still wouldn't be able to live a "normal" life due to the physical disabilities also, ...the pain would still probably cause some depression... but to not have the flashbacks of the accident, the cruddy people who didn't help.. etc.. yeah, I've often wanted to just forget all that... well, I guess I can but the symptoms would still be.. with a medicine that would counter that too? Yeah, that would be something I'd try.
