I've had a pseudonym on here since I first joined (I know it wasn't all that long ago and I haven't made that many posts). But what's your opinion on NOT having one? If I reveal my real name, and it's likely that my dad might read this forum sometime in the future (though I think I can get away with it being "for Psychology homework" or something) then he'll find everything out. There'll be some form of a confrontation between my parents and I, they'll treat me as if I'm crazy, etc. etc.
But...I'm not in any position to tell my parents about my problems yet, so if at any point they do find out what's going on, it MAY be a push in the right direction? They confront me about it all, we finally have a conversation about it, I perhaps get their support, and I go to the doctor's.
Is it worth the trouble of people (friends, relatives) possibly finding out your problems online if you reveal who you really are?
