Years ago I adopted a young adult Doberman. She was GORGEOUS - red coat and coloring and petite (for a Doberman). I took her to obedience school and it was obvious from some of the responses to commands (which were advanced responces which the class had not progressed to) that she had been trained before.

So, my former husband and I began entering her in local obedience trials. She performed wonderfully and won several ribbons - one a blue.

Then there was this one day...we went to a large trial held inside a HUGE school gymnasium. Prior most of the trials were outside.

She performed very well UNTIL we got to putting the dog in sit position, handler (me) turning my back and walking to the other side of the ring, and giving the come command. She came alright - right by me and to my husband sitting on the front row bleachers.
