That it always happens at the same time of day gives you a good beginning to find out your answer to this. I'm sorry you are having any difficulty, btw. First, I would rule out any reactions to food or drink. Is there something you have each night you have problems that you don't have at other meals?

Then I would look at the interaction at the dinner table... is this different than at other meals? Does someone there upset you at all, or are you unsatisfied with your own talk or feelings there?

Is it that you don't have time during the day to think about all that's happening in your life, and the lull after dinner allows it all to "attack" you? I would try writing down things during the day that you need to spend time on later... and even right before bed, make a list or use a journal to record your thoughts. That way, you won't have to hold them in your mind while trying to relax to sleep..

There are herbs you can try to help calm you. Breathing exercises can help too (ppl often hold their breath as they become more anxious.)

I hope you find a solution quickly... feeling ill and lack of sleep can sure affect the rest of your life! (congrats on the baby, btw)
