I don't blame you for being upset! If the door looked weird, like someone had tampered with it, I'd be upset too!! It creeps you out thinking that someone might be around!  I don't have a clue why she scolded you ~ but if she's been acting weird lately, there might be something going on.
How old is this aunt? Can you talk to your Mom about her? Maybe you could ask your Mom if there's something "wrong" with your Aunt, or if she has some problem that she's going thru. Tell your Mom that you've noticed your Aunt acting differently lately, and if she DOES have something going on, you'd like to help. You don't want to be kept in the dark.
Hopefully your Mom will let you in on it IF something is wrong. Then you can act accordingly. Best of luck and keep us informed. Hugs, Lee
