I've never even heard of "Emerging" personality disorder. o_0

I'm guessing that they've likely told you this because it may be too soon to make a more specific diagnosis(getting diagnosed can often be a process that takes a fair bit of time). A personality disorder is not easy to diagnose either, and with BPD especially it is also something that I know some professionals are very wary about diagnosing because to be quite honest... BPD is a label that has a lot of stigma attached to it even within the psychiatric community(unfortunately), it's not something most people would want to have advertised on their psychiatric records.

I would encourage you to talk to your treatment team about this to see if they can help ease some of your confusion. I know it's quite frustrating when it seems like nobody will just tell you what's wrong.

Take care of yourself and feel free to keep asking questions... the more you know the better.
