Wow, onmyway. What an awful, awful day. Just what you didn't need.
I'm sorry your step-MIL went behind your back and told your MIL about last month. If she is friends with you, she should not have done that. If she felt like she had to, she could have at least warned you so you didn't get ambushed by your MIL. It sounds like she just doesn't have discretion...maybe she tells person Y and Z part of the story thinking they are trustworthy and won't tell MIL? Have you confronted your step-MIL or is this the last straw and you don't want to bother? I hope it was just a misunderstanding and not a total betrayal, which is what it sounds like. I'm so sorry; it sounds like you really need support from someone on that side of the family.
Argh, I hate when court gets pushed back. Don't they realize people take time off to go to hearings? It's so disrespectful of your time. I hope you have an attorney representing your interests when you can't make it, and I hope you got an update.
The doctor...WTF is right. What a complete jerk. I would've been out of there a long time before you were. I can't believe he was so rude to you and wouldn't listen. Saying you weren't being clear was so condescending. He probably felt insecure because you called him out for not paying attention to the issue with your heart. Then he took it out on you. I really admire how assertive you were about insisting on getting help. I hope you are able to get the tests done another time.
I bet you've been having a rough couple of days since then. I hope you're able to unwind some and take care of yourself. Sending hugs!!
