I'm sorry that you had such a horrible day. Doesn't sound like any fun.

The visit with the doctor: AAARRRRGGGHHHH!! How maddening! Visits like that are absolutely pointless . It didn't help either one of you get to the bottom of things. Do you have the option of picking a resident to stick with, once you do find a good fit?

I once worked with a terrific resident doctor, years ago. She helped me a great deal on a whole range of issues. I only tell you this to reassure you that there is hope. Some residents really are great...and it's wonderful to find a "click"!!

I now go to Mayo Clinic for a couple of specialties. They typically also have residents (or some special name for them ~ I think it's called "fellowship") handle cases & then the experienced specialist comes in to review things. I had a hard time working with the "fellows" a couple of times, shared that with my epileptologist, and now I only see him in the epilepsy area. Thank goodness! You may want to try that avenue if the other mentioned doesn't work for you.

I hope that things get worked out for you soon. Best wishes to you!
