Jarebear, I have a lot of anxiety and depression that mixes together in weird ways. Some of what you describe sounds like anxiety to me and if you're like me, that anxiety can lead to intense depression.
Do you take any anti anxiety meds? It could be something to talk to your pdoc about.

Meds: Zoloft, Lorazapam, Coffee, Cigarettes
