update:
I had my back molar (top left) extracted on March 23, 2011. I hope it's not anothe rtooth still hurting.
I went to have it looked at yesterday and the dentist did not look into my mouth; she only took an x-ray. I was surprised that she did not check me for dry socket! I went back in and told her to check it. She refused. She said my insurance did not cover that. WHAT?! Wait a minute, I said. "A dentist always x-rays AND examines a tooth! Why not?"
She grew flustered and said, "If you are not satisfied with me, go see someone else!"
I was flustered and mad and hurt. I had liked her and did not understand why sh was acting like this.
My plan: I am seeing the emergency dentist who pulled that tooth now. He did look in my mouth and I am scheduled to see him next week. If there is any more going on besides that socket, I will hopefully have more coverage starting in May so that I can have a thourough look-see to find out if I need any more work done.
I hope not.
This is NIGHTMARE.
