Thanks for the advice...I hadn't thought of housesitting...I also wouldn't mind trading rent for work, staying in a fixer-upper for a few months while doing the fixer-upping...I can probably count on 30 days max here, and it would be good if it were less...this was the cutest young couple, they're SO excited, they'll be chomping at the bit.

Housing assistance here is pretty meager...I got food stamps coming any day, but they only last for five months if I'm not working. (I think...I didn't really understand what she was saying.).So I need to get the disability thing happening.I could move back with my mom or my sister for a while, but then I would be away from my kids...and I'd have to start all over again AGAIN!

Sometimes I wonder why I keep worrying about all this...I'd really rather not. But I keep popping back up, like one of those clown punching bags.
