Thanks everyone!!!!! Heh heh Petunia! One pineapple for Amy coming up! Gem - it's only a 5 hour flight from Portland, and direct at that. Much different than when I lived on the east coast and it would take 13 hours and two different planes. Portland is far from everywhere else, but close to Hawaii and Alaska so might as well take advantage of it. We're just going to Oahu - never spent any time there and the tickets were only $300 each. I found an inexpensive vacation rental on Craigslist so this whole trip will be dirt cheap. It's on the North Shore and is beachside! Yippee!!!!

Will take pictures, I promise. I bought a waterproof camera case for my digital camera so hopefully will get some good diving and/or snorkeling shots!
