oh liferuined, of course you can't just leave all that behind! there are so many feelings and events that you will need to go through and process to become whole again. imho, i'm surprised your wife-a psych nurse-said what she did.
i'm wondering why do u not qualify for aid. if your wife makes enough or she is covered by insurance i feel you would greatly benefit from therapy. FYI, some teaching universities that have psychologists offer a sliding scale for therapy based on your income.
