Hi babycherry - welcome to PC. I like your avatar lol - it's perfect for this subject...teeth grinding. I have this problem but it's under control now - I wish someone would have told me about this sooner, because I ended up developing TMJ which stands for Temporo-mandibular Joint dysfunction. it's very common for people and children to grind their teeth at night. I also used to hold tension in my jaw during the day and occasionally now I catch myself.
The best thing for you to do, is get a mouth guard made, so you can wear it a night. If you don't, you'll continue this at night and start getting pain like me - you can also wear down your teeth. Luckily my pain is much better now that it's under control. My dentist made me a plastic one but where I bite, it's almost cushiony.
For during the day, I had to make a conscious effort to stop holding tension in my jaw. I do this by being aware of it and keeping my teeth apart -relaxed. When we're tense, we often hold it in our jaws, neck and stomach. If you want to discuss your marriage issues, you can start a thread in the relationship forum. Good luck.
