Mine starts about a week and a half, maybe a week, before my period. I get very weepy, very anxious, and angry too! I basically don't want to see anyone, I keep thinking people are talking about me behind my back, get very anxious driving the car etc in case it crashes... and just cry and shout at people all the time and get very depressed!! What I have found is that I either have pain or I have these depressive symptoms. If I get pain I am pretty happy, and when I'm not I don't feel it at all. I think there's some research to show that the hormones kick in to prevent pain, but I can't find the place where I read that! The downtime is bad as well. I get sad after my period too.

Apparently Evening Primrose Oil helps, though I have such trouble swallowing the capsules that I haven't been taking it regularly enough to tell if it really does. Some people also reccommend St John's Wort. I find keeping a diary helps, it helps to track your mood and also helps just to write it down. My doctor said that she sometimes reccommends Prozac, but that to me sounds like a terrible idea and I'm not willing to take it really. Basically I just wait it out and this is really not a useful reply at all!! I hope you can find something better to help you

Thanks for this!
