A couple of weeks ago I went in to the financial aid office to apply for financial aid for the spring and summer. I filled out the form that they gave me to fill out, even asked to make sure that I filled it out correctly. I got an email today saying the school could not give me financial aid for the spring and summer as I wasn't eligible. It scared the hell out of me. I thought I wasn't going to be able to get any financial aid, the only way I was going to be able to get through the summer. But I called the financial aid office and asked about it. They told me that I had only applied for one type of aid. That I could still get a plus loan. WELL, why didn't they tell me about this option when I applied the first time as going full time apparently uses up all your Stafford loan money. My program pretty much requires you to go full time. Why need to scare me like this? I do give myself credit for calling them and not totally freaking out before I called them. Enough to give me a heart attack!
