Sorry, I tried looking in my Internet Explorer but not only is it (most likely) a lot older than yours -- it also keeps crashing on me! I guess that could be because it doesn't like having this Firefox running at the same time, for some reason. I remember using an even older IE at the same time as Netscape and having no problem.

In the Windows versions that I'm used to, Windows Help is halfway useless. Still, it's occasionally pointed me in the right direction or told me the right name of something. Yours is no doubt newer and may be better. What about giving it a try? Maybe start by searching under terms like "appearance," "fonts," "colors," and "links". IE is supposed to be an integral part of Windows so I'd think Windows help would cover it. You might check, though, if the Help link in IE turns up the same help system or a different one.

eta: I closed Firefox and did get into IE successfully this time.

Tools > Internet Options > General (tab)

Under the "Home page", "Temporary Internet files" and "History" boxes I find a button for Colors. It offers color selectors for links, "Visited" and "Unvisited". You almost certainly have one too (somewhere! ) See what it shows as the color for your unvisited links.
