Pain is bad enough but pain plus an unsympathetic doc is torture. I hope someone can find some relief for you. If this first guy can't find anything wrong then he should apologize and refer you to someone who can. Some doctors have too much "ego" for their own (or their patients') good.

Well that's the place to start but if those tests don't reveal anything then it is time to think outside the box (excuse the cliche), not to give up with an idiotic "diagnosis" of "it will either get better or it won't"

You should tell him that either you will pay his bill or you won't.
