Originally, I came to psychcentral for help with my food addiction, but I think that part of my addiction comes from not being able to work through my emotions, so food has become my coping method. I often have trouble identifying why I have the emotions I have. For example, I'll feel really down, but have no idea why. At times like this or even if I know why....I turn to food rather than trying to figure my emotions out.
Any thoughts or suggestions that will help me identify and work through my emotions in a positive way would be very much appreciated.
