i dont understand how asking for common courtesy makes me such a bad person......and yes we have had several screaming fits -- it sucks, makes you feel icky, and makes our homes alien to us

but you have the right attitude -- avoid her, stop cowtowing to her, and heck if you can afford it plant a really tall fence so you dont have to see her! Fences make good neighbors (Ive been saving for the survey and fencing so i can fence my yard to keep my privacy - think i may happen this year finally!)
I agree with you about fences...and inconsiderate neighbors with barking dogs past midnight. I would not be able to sleep at all, being so sensitive to noise.. I do have two dogs, but they are inside after dark. I also have a privacy fence, installed by the previous owner of my house, and which really angers my bad neighbor. She has called the town because it is not completely straight. But it does give me privacy. The previous owners of my house had two dogs as well as a small child and probably wanted to protect them from the sharp spikes on the rusty fence!

Thanks,
Patty
Thanks for this!
