You should check with the laws for where you live, when you file the order, they should be able to tell you there. Usually protective orders are only for you, and for direct contact with you, unfortunatley. However, if this person is harrassing family members or friends, they could file protective orders of their own to put a stop to it. I also encourage you to let those in your life who may be effected know what's going on. It would be wise to ask them to document, but ignore, any contact from this person.
