I posed these exact same concerns to my therapist and he said the thing to watch for is abusing the medication. In other words, using it more than you're supposed to be. If you take them responsibly and stay within the prescribed parameters you should be fine (according to my T). I still take them as little as I can stand because like sundog, I have a very addictive personality and have wrestled with drug issues in the past.

For now, I think you're fine.
