Dear Maze4200,
Anxiety- is part of our Fight or Flight response. Our nervous system will react to a situation. So Anxiety is the Flight response-of "Gosh I've got to run away right now!"
An example of this would be, a rabbit in a field having just seen a fox! Great fear! So I must run.
The trouble is, with our nervous system, is that once you have that fear, the nervous system will carry on building on top of it.
Some tips to help-
Learn some relaxation
Constantly reasure yourself that there is nothing to fear by talking to yourself
Distractions- Do something that you enjoy to take your mind off whatever the fear is , ie - playing scrabble, crosswords, music.
I also suggest that you see your doctor. And look into some sort of talking therapy.
Good Luck!
