I completely agree with you on that googley and sorry to hear you're sick now. My girls were born 7 weeks premature and I used to ask inlaws to wash their hands before touching them because their immunie systems were still weak. I even got a bad attitude for asking them not to smoke. I'm normally not worried, but during that time I was. There's also a risk of babies getting pertusis which can be very serious for infants.

What really bugs me is when kids are sent to school sick - one girl in my daughters class was in school 2 days last week with a FEVER -my rule is if you have a fever you should stay home. The teacher noticed and the girl couldn't go home because her mom was on a special pet walk...grrrrrrr. A runny nose can end up contaminating the whole class. Even with my 13 yr old - she was invited to a friends house and the girl was sick - 2 days later my daughter was sick.

I also want to encourage what they teach kids in Canada now - to do the 'vampire sneeze' which is covering with the bend in your arm instead of the bad advice of "cover your mouth with your hand"(worst advice ever).
