Sabby, you have at least a month to get together with others and petition/besiege the Government, check your skills and other options (private or NGO funding: http://www.wango.org/resources.aspx?section=ngodir) and look at your own, personal options (don't worry right now about all the other people who might not be able to find care for themselves or lose their jobs) with this individual you care for.
