Mine were really awful when I was younger - such pain and I used to throw up - I did go to doctors and he prescribed contraceptive pill which worked amazingly! I don't take the pill now and periods have naturally got less painful and heavy - you don't have to suffer every few weeks like this - can you say more about why you are so scared of going to the doctors?
