depending on the relationship... you don't have to tell her anything. i didn't. i have severe OCD and none of my family are aware of that. i don't see any benefit to them or me in telling them, so i didn't. OCD often results in a pressure to tell people stuff, like you have to for some reason... but you don't have to. If you are an adult and on your own then you need to decide if the relationship is a supportive one and what you would gain from sharing or not sharing.
