Many times I have found myself in the same position you are in. I have been told that is because I am expecting others to be the same way I am. Well, Yes, I do. I am a good, caring and loyal friend. One who is there to listen and help if needed. But I am sorry, the advise I have been given is true and right. I can not expect that others will treat me with the same kindness. It always hurts so much when my kindness or help is not returned in my time of need. I think the key word is expect. Try to always keep that in the back of your mind. Expect nothing AT ALL. What a wonderful surprise if you do find a friend that is as good as you are!
