9Lives I know what your going thru. I just had to put my cat to sleep last November. Hardest thing to do is to make a choice like that. But he was very sick and not likely to make it thru surgery so to end his pain and suffering I had to do what was right for him. He brought so much to my life also. And my dog loved him too. Jorgie was his name. And he weighed 3 lbs more than my dog and they played together so well. Heidi has gone thru some depression herself . I wanted to get another pet so she wouldnt be so lonely but my husband wouldnt allow it. We had Jorgie for 16 months to the day that he died . Someone had dropped him off here on the farm . And I gradually let him in the house and then we took him to the vets . We wanted him to get as healthy as possible and all his shots. Loved that little guy. I'd be in chat here and he'd walk across the keyboard and press enter with his own paws lol. Jorgie was saying HI to everyone lol. And all the eskimo kisses I'd get . Oooooooo Ijust loved them! YOU miss them little things they did .. but time does heal and you do go on. Its hard. But you will. Be patient with yourself. Let yourself grieve. And let your other pets love you thru this. And continue to love them back. They still need you too. Hope this helps

Take care
Bethy
