DBT is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. It's an upcoming therapy that many clinicians and agencies are getting in on.

DBT is for persons who struggle with emotional regulation, originally developed to treat clients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. DBT believes that our FEELINGS drive our behaviors, where as CBT (cognitive BT) believes that it's our thoughts.

DBT in its purest form has a group and individual therapist. Groups focus on sets of skills for a client to use. There are 4-5 main components. 1. Distress Tolerance Skills 2. Mindfulness Skills 3. Emotional Regulation Skills 4. Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills and sometimes 5. Middle Path Skills.
