blueoctober posted some great advice, but I'm going to add one more point:

Accept your illness. You know that you have bipolar disorder and you need to realize that medications and therapy, although quite helpful, might not make the symptoms disappear completely. Accept them as a part of your life and don't let the pessimistic side of you complain too much. That's what we need to do in order to survive a long term illness.
