no you are not bad. its just that there is probably something you are seeing or hearing or touching or smelling in your room or right before you go to bed that has triggered the memorys to rerun. Try changing your sheets to something softer that doesnt remind you of when you were a child, and sleeping with a night light on it the bathroom helps too. Instead of total quiet in your present day bedroom try going to sleep with some type of relaxing music on a programable portable boombox that way when the music stops it doesnt snap or click off waking you back up. You might also try to figure out what the words are. sometimes if Im hungry or forget to do something the voice memories get triggered into rerunning. Cutting down my stress level before bed by coloring, drawing and journal writing also helps decrease the chances of my voice memories getting triggered by something when I think about everything I did throughout the day. The ticking might be the memory of a clock you had as a child try using a digital clock instead of one that ticks. Ive never heard of medication causing a ticking sound but I have been told by doctors when I was on prozac that ticking or electric shock like feeling in the head will happen if the medication isnt taken the same time every day and making sure to drink plenty of water because dehydration causes the same type of audio hallucinations.
