People sometimes think you have to have bulimia or annorexia to have an eating disorder, so they refer to them as such and call other types of unhealthy eating patterns as disordered eating or EDNOS as you said. Mainly when someone says you have disordered eating its usually means its not something that you need serious specific help with but that could be looked at so that you can try to make some better choices.
I have been bulimic and on the edge of being annorexia also and I would have said then that I had an eatin disorder. Now I am over weight, using food as comfort etc but being over weight would be more refered to as disordered eating i think...but at the end of the day its all pretty much the same thing lol
