Now for the rest of the story. On my Birthday I went to a local company to interview for a job in my field, which is a rarity in this locale. I had just walked in the door and the phone rang. I was the company, they offered me the position. I was elated.
They asked me to come in and sign some papers so that they could do a background check. I went in the following day and signed the papers.
Since then I have not heard from the company, nor have they responded to any of my emails or phone calls.
This is causing much anxiety in my life right now. I have also been told by the person that I am living with that if I do not find a job soon that my housing will be in jeopardy. That means that once again I will be on the streets and then the chances of finding employment are just about nil.
I have the feeling that this will trigger me once again and my PTSD will kick in and I will run once more.
This is not a pleasant thought.

'wow, almost makes one wonder what the heck they found out? I'd try not to "go there" until it really makes sense to, have you given it a reasonable amount of time? Maybe they are just simply DOING the background check?! That can take some time....it's possible that the left hand is not working well with the right hand and they just haven't gotten themselves together to call you back
