Seems like your mom and dad would avoid the family gatherings if their son/daughter are specifically not invited. However, if they continue and you're not welcome, you might enjoy getting together with your mom/dad on an alternate day for the holidays and enjoying the possibility of not having to be in that crowd. Looks like you're freed up from that ordeal now. Everyone else will understand why you're not there, and you don't have to put on a charade for anyone at all. Good luck with this.
