I think you should talk to the psychologist about it.
Also having a child is a really major thing - you he is young - I don't know how young - but, young children are hard to care for. They take up a lot of energy and if you are already diagnosed with depression, well... depression takes away energy making it harder to be a parent at times. So it makes sense that this kind of thing can happen.
Just realize the sooner you get working on making you feel better, the sooner you can ENJOY being a parent more often and the better off your kid will be too. I'm really glad you're looking for help in this. I've thought of having a kid here and there and the thought with depression is just so scary!!
Keep in mind that depression can changes, and the symptoms you have can change. Mind have varied a lot since I've been diagnosed. Maybe you're overwhelmed right now, or maybe something else has changed, or maybe your hormones are just whacky for some reason - so best talk to your doctor =)
